I am forever fascinated by people. The similarities we share and the differences that make us each unique. I employ the classical art training I received in Europe to bring out the uniqueness of the individuals in my portraits. I work mostly from photographs; but use live sittings of the model and/or an interview to explore the interests and personality of the subject. All this goes into the creative process to paint a portrait that captures the personality of the person in a flattering manner. Here are some examples of past portraits I have painted...

I recently finished the portrait below of Demjen Ference, the well known rock star in Hungary. And another portrait explores the environment and hobby of the subject. My latest delves into the character and is a bit staged to add a bit of drama.
